The St. Kitts Music Festival is again on the search for a team of female promotional ambassadors who are to be incorporated into the overall promotional activities which are now beginning to accelerate, with the festival just three months away.
The period for application will run from Monday 27th – Friday 7th April.
Similar to 2016, some six (6) young females will be selected to help spearhead various marketing events, designed to garner greater levels of public support while also building a heightened momentum surrounding the three nights of concerts.
This is the 21st Anniversary of the festival, which is to be staged at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium, from Thursday, 22nd – Saturday, 24th June.
The organizing committee says it is looking for females between the ages of 18-35, with good communication and persuasive skills, well groomed, articulate, ability to speak good English, photogenic and with good character.
A special casting call will be held on Friday, 07th April, on Fort Street, to allow interested ladies a final opportunity to apply. However, application forms are now available and can also be accessed via the Mu-sic Festival Facebook Page and Website.
Forms are also available from the Ministry of Tourism, at Port Zante, Triumph Beauty Store at Pelican Mall and Harpers.
Those selected to become Festival Promotional Ambassadors will be put through a period of training, in etiquette skills, interview and public speaking skills, destination information, the history of the festival and sales skills.
The ambassadors will also be engaged in a number of media events and sponsor visits, in addition to meeting and greeting members of the public, both visitors and residents, to sensitize them about the festival later this year.
A number of fun and promotional activities will also be on the agenda, including Open Mic Competitions, Bar Hops, Bar Crawls, DJ Mix Com-petition, and others.
While in the past, females have been recruited as promotional girls and ladies, it was in 2016 that a decision was taken to revamp the program to elevate it to the status of an Ambassadorial Promotional initiative, given the new and more meaningful responsibilities that have been adopted.
Judging from the experience of last year, it is believed that the program contributes significantly to the development of the ambassadors, lifting their confidence levels and communication skills and organizational talents.
Qualified females are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity and to register before the April 7th deadline.
