The panelists will be Theodore Browne, Chair of the Local Organizing Committee for ICT Week; Diana Francis, Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications; and Bernadette Lewis, Secretary General of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), who will join the interview by telephone.
The discussion will focus on the activities for ICT Week, e-Government and the importance of ICTs to Caribbean development on a whole.
During the week, the 17th Caribbean Ministerial Strategic Seminar will be held from September 26-27 at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino. This initiative was started in 2004 by CTU with the aim of laying a common platform of understanding on ICT issues amongst Government ICT and Telecommunication Ministers and senior policy makers. These seminars have endured as a key initiative of the CTU as they bring and keep regional ministers and senior public officials up to date with key developments and trends in information and communications technologies.
